Starbucks is recession friendly...YAY!!!

Me and a friend of mine were just joking at the fact that Starbucks would never offer a combo like deal because that would be "below their standards", lol. Mind you, we were joking as we were sipping on our brewed at home coffee. I must admit, even in these hard economic times, I have cut my daily Grande Caramel Macchiato down to maybe 2 or 3 a week (no, I can't kick it cold turkey). Well, a week later after our conversation, lo and behold, Starbucks has released their new "All Day Pairings" menu, which include something to eat and drink for $3.95. The choices are as follows:

Tall Brewed Coffee (12 fl oz) plus your choice of:

New Artisan Bacon Sandwich
New Artisan Ham Sandwich
Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon Sandwich
Sausage Sandwich

OR

Tall Caffè Latte (12 fl oz) plus your choice of:

Reduced-Fat Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake

Perfect Oatmeal

The Artisan Sandwiches are made with high-quality ingredients like Black Forest ham, Gouda cheese and hand-shaped artisan bread rolls.

I don't think that there is much room for substitution, but at least they're trying to give their loyal customers somewhat of a deal. Maybe if these pairings are successful, they will add more options to these choices.
